Rat Ingress Survey & Drain Proofing
Full CCTV survey in Alwoodley, Leeds to identify rat ingress points, followed by patch relining and a rodent trapping programme in partnership with pest control.
The Challenge
A homeowner in the Alwoodley area of Leeds was experiencing a rat problem. Two horrendous breaks in the drainage lines — likely caused during a previous extension build — were providing ingress points for rats to enter the property.
Our Solution
Working alongside VermiCure Pest Control, we carried out a full CCTV survey to identify the major faults. All lines were jet cleaned to remove excess rubble, grease, and waste. Two patch reliners were installed to seal the large ingress points, and a rodent trapping programme was set up to deal with any rats trapped within the system.
The Result
The two major ingress points were permanently sealed with structural patch liners, eliminating the rats' entry route. The drainage lines were left clean and fully functional. The partnership approach with pest control ensured both the drainage and the pest problem were resolved together.
